France remains committed to the fight against improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and continues to promote approaches that may help address this scourge. In this regard, France funded a study from the United Nations institute for disarmament research (UNIDIR) to explore the possible contribution of the private sector in stemming the uncontrolled dissemination of IED.
UNIDIR, with funding provided by the Government of the French republic, organized a two-days workshop on improvised explosive devices (IED).
