Informal open consultations on IED (31 August 2017). [fr]
Pursuant to UNGA Resolution A/RES/71/72, France and Colombia are holding open, informal consultations on Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) on 31 August 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room 12 of the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange views on the potential contribution of private sector stakeholders to the fight against IED, following the UNIDIR workshop on this issue which was held in March 2017. Representatives from the involved business sectors will share the perspectives of the industry and will answer delegations’ questions.
At the very end of the session, the delegations will be invited to express their views on this topic, based on the UNIDIR questionnaire.
