Lethal autonomous weapons: scholarship programme of the United Nations on Disarmament (Geneva, 1st of September, 2014) [fr]

The Ambassador Jean-Hugues Simon-Michel, Permanent Representative of France to the Conference on Disarmament, intervened on the 1st of September before the participants to the scholarship programme of the United Nationson Disarmament on the matter of autonomous lethal weapons systems. He came back on the meeting of experts that was held on this theme in Geneva, from the 14th to the 16th of May, 20014, within the framework of the CCW, to explain the challenges and the next steps. The meeting enabled to have a discussion on this subject that keeps on interesting the professionals of disarmament.

Created by the General Assembly in 1978, the United Nations scholarship programme on disarmament aims at training professionals for this particular sector, in order to reinforce their participation to the deliberations of the disarmament fora.
